This is Brian’s Story
“In 2003 I had a knee replacement that did not heal due to an allergic reaction to the metal and I had to have an above knee amputation. I adapted well to the prosthesis but was having some socket issues and decided to have Osseointegration surgery. The surgery was not successful and I had to have more of my femur removed leading to a shorter residual limb. Once healed I went to the prosthetic company that I worked with all these years, they had trouble making a socket that worked with my shorter limb, after 4 sockets I realized it was time to try another company, I searched online and found POSI. I wasn’t sure if anyone would be able to make me a prosthesis that would allow me to get back to the things I love, walking on trails and training dogs, but Kevin Towers did. He made me a socket that fits and allows me to get out walking on the trails 2-3 miles a day, I am so glad I made the change to POSI.”
