The POSI Process

1. Evaluation and Plan

The first part of the POSI Process consists of important questions about your hobbies and daily activities etc. On top of that, we will give you a physical evaluation to test general muscle strength and flexibility.

2. Hand Casting

This is the first step in fitting and will involve an impression of the residual limb. The hand cast will be made using a plaster to create a model to be modified to fit each specific patient.

3. Diagnostic Fittings

During the diagnostic fitting, it allows us to continue to adjust to any changes that might need to be made throughout the alignment process as well as make it more comfortable overall.

4. In-House Fabrication

In-House Fabrication simply makes it easier to make adjustments on site while you wait as well as quick feedback.

5. Delivery

Once everything is completed the delivery of prosthesis will happen and we will continue to monitor your progress and follow-up.

6. Coordinated Rehab

The final step involves making sure that you are using your new prosthetic to the highest potential that you are capable of through prosthetic rehab.
